Why should you book Marevna photography?

I am an experienced, fully qualified photographer and a mother myself! Trust me when I say that I know how dear your baby is to you, so I can guarantee I will provide you with complete safety and beautiful pictures that will keep on reminding you of those precious moments forever.

When should I book?

You should book weeks before you want the shoot to happen, so I could prepare for it and plan out all the pictures. Be sure to book early, because I have limited photo shoots per week, it would be a disappointment if the date you wanted is already booked! However sometimes there’s still space for a last minute photo shoot.

What is the best time for newborn session and what if I missed it?

Of course the best time to have a session is when your baby is from 4 to 14 days, however I will take babies that are older than that. We all know how wonderful it is to first get a baby and how happy they make us, sometimes we get a bit too carried away! Don’t worry if you missed your newborn period, got too excited and realized you wanted to make a session too late! It’s never too late to get a session, sometimes I photograph babies who are even 2 months old and the pictures still look amazing!

Can I bring my family and my pet to the session?

Yes. You’re welcome to bring pets and other family members. f you want you are welcome to change into some other clothes when it is your time in front of the camera.If you and your partner wish to be in some photos, please try to stick to plain clothing. Nothing with logos and patterns on them as you can take focus away from baby. If you have older siblings that you would like photographed with your newborn I will do these photos first. I would recommend to bring some toys or things to entertain them thorough the shoot. Cream or white is recommended for older siblings (tops with jeans or dresses for girls). They will be barefoot, so no need to look for clean shoes. After all it’s a whole 2 hours, but what are 2 hours when you can get beautiful pictures with your little one and the family!

How long will the shoot take?

The shoot usually takes about 1,5-2 hours, but of course I take my time so the baby can relax and get comfortable. I only have one session a day so we won’t be in a hurry.

What should I bring?

Pack your baby bag with usual items: nappies, wipes, burping cloths, a dummy/pacifier (even if you do not intend to use one permanently, the sucking sensation is very soothing for babies and can help them to be calm and settled while positioning them).

If you are breastfeeding, your milk may still be coming in, so if it is possible, please bring a bottle of expressed milk or formula to help keep your baby nice and full.

There is no need to bring any food, I will provide you with drinks and some snacks so you can just sit back and relax while I get to work. After all I’m here to make some special memories for you!

What should the baby wear?

Please dress your baby in items of clothing that are easy for me to undress. Anything with a button or zip up front, nothing that requires me to lift over their head as this can instantly distress them and wake them up. I keep the studio room nice and warm at all times so baby is very comfortable and happy. The warm temperature helps baby to sleep soundly and in turn helps the posing to be done easier and more efficiently. It can get quite warm in the studio, please keep this in mind when dressing yourself. All outfits for the shoot are included, no need to bring your own clothes for that unless you want to.

What If I’m running late?

The last thing I want on the day of the session, is for everyone to feel stressed out, so if you’re running late just text me. Please don’t feel rushed, I always run on your baby’s schedule.

It’s better to book your session in advance. I’m only available to take a limited bookings per week. I provide a full service experience, and my goal is to make sure your little one is safely handed and you feel comfortable during your session. I put my heart and soul into creating a unique look for each baby and making final artwork look beautiful.
